The landscape here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan is beautiful. This picture was taken in the fall and the colors on the trees were absolutely beautiful but you put something with so many different contrast of colors and make it into a black and white portrait . . . well, you get stunning results. This black and white print was left with just a very faint hue of yellow which you can see very faintly in the outline of the trees in the background. WOW does it make it pop!
I love to portray life in my photography. I love to capture those tiny details that make the picture whole. My hope is that my photography provides a memory, or an emotion, and gives a smile. I work hard in getting the image correct in camera. I use manual settings on my DSLR camera and it makes a big difference in photography, since I’m in control of what I want you to see and how I want you to see it.
